Situated in the Lundu district, Gunung
Gading was gazettes as a national park in 1983. Gunung Gading is
home to the world’s largest flower called: THE RAFFLESIA. The
Rafflesia has been known to grow up to one meter in diameter. When
in bloom, the flower gives off a nasty smell, which attracts flies
and other insects. Enjoy a nice slow trek through the park and see
some of the exotic plants, insects, birds, small animals and also
the beautiful waterfall located in the park. |
